Iron Workers
Just returned from Las Vegas where we were shooting the construction along the strip. To all you members of the Iron workers local, thanks for your help in identifying the men in the photographs and helping to get model releases so the images can be published. We are still three short. I’m posting their pictures here on the blog. These shots were taken on Thursday March 20th between 3 and 4 pm across from Circus Circus. If you happen to work for the construction company on this site, we would be happy to supply some of the images for your in house promotional and advertising use, in exchange for help in getting the model releases signed.
Thanks,
Hal
The Loft is offically open and we are looking for Models!!
We are adding Head Shots, Corporate and Stock photography to our services this year and we are looking for models, actors, make-up artists, or anyone who wants to trade time to work on some select projects in exchange for portfolio pieces. I’m extending this offer to all my potential brides also. I have a lot of requests for contemporary portrats for web use. If your willing to come in and play in the studio for a few hours, you can get some dynamite “FREE” engagment portrats. AJ and Christina were first to take me up on this offer. The subject was a little fun tension. Here are a few samples from the shoot. Anyone interested drop me a note and we can talk about concepts. Thanks.
Conny McCormack Retires!!!!
Our dear friend and neighbor Conny McCormack, Registrar of Voters for Los Angeles county retired at the end of the Year. Long time friends, co-workers, and election officals past and present, gathered for her official retirement party / ROAST on Jan 3rd!!! We were lucky enough to be invited to take part, and of course I took my recently aquired D300 for a test run. Even the Iowa caucauses couldn’t put a damper on this party!! Since so many flew in from around the country I’ve placed the images ONLINE for all to view and enjoy. Just drop Mick or Conny a note for the password. Enjoy!
We all wish Conny the best of luck on her new consulting adventures and we look forward to many a good giggle when she shows up as a talking head for CNN or heaven forbid; Fox News. YIKES!!
AJ and Christina at Descanso Gardens
Escaping frigid weather, AJ left med school, bound for warm weather, holiday fun, and a much needed reunion with Christina. While here, we met up at Descanso Gardens for their engagment shoot. I’m just starting the editing process, but I thought I’d post a few fun images while they wait. The rest should be online by the end of the week. Enjoy!!!
Mary and Jay tie the Knot in Long Beach.
The Yahoo PhotoBooth made a surprise appearance at Mary and Jay’s fabulous wedding in Long Beach this past weekend. While we await the wedding images, I thought I’d upload the photobooth and give everyone a giggle. In honor of all the OC lawyers who participated, I’ve decided to officially change the name to simply; “MugShots”. Special thanks goes out to Dan and Jordan, who took control, wrangled the crowd and added their special touch to the evening. I have it on good authority that both are rethinking their carriers with a nod toward a future in photography; although Jordan told me privately his real dream is to “Direct”!! For all who wish to take a peek, the photobooth images are ONLINE under the heading “MugShots“. Mary and Jay have the password. Enjoy!!
777 - The Wedding
Jen and Hoang flew in for their lucky 777 wedding at Mission San Juan Capistrano. Joined by friends and family from around the world everyone had a spectacular time. I’m told I missed an unusual farewell speech from Huang and an unexpected dip in the pool, but everything else is online for all to view. Just follow the link for ONLINE PROOFING. Jen and Hoang have the password. The Yahoo photo booth also made an unexpected appearance creating some interesting images. Enjoy!!!
The Loft
Fara dropped by the loft with her wedding dress for some Bridal portraits to surprise Steve. This is also a great way to test your hair and makeup before the wedding day. The proofs are online for all to view, except Steve of course. Fara has the password! Bridal Proofs
I think this image would make a perfect intro for their album!
Yahoo Photo Booth
The Yahoo Photo Booth appeared again at Andrea and Greg’s wedding this past weekend. They leave work and worry to those left behind taking up the slack; while they. . . kick up their heels in Spain!!! “Yaaaaahoooooo”
While we wait for their wedding images to go online; I thought I’d give everyone a little distraction. Go to the online proof section of the website if you want to see the complete set.

Jennifer and Huang’s eng shoot.
Jen and Huang flew in from Chicago for mothers day. For their engagement shoot we took them to the beach near the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach. The beach and park along the cliffs are wonderful locations for casual sunset photographs. They were such fun to photograph, the wedding will be wonderful!!! Here are a few fun images. the rest can be found on the website.
